Teepees offer that magical mix of rustic charm and modern flexibility, and they create unforgettable outdoor wedding spaces all year round. Here are the top 10 teepee wedding questions we get asked - and our honest, practical answers based on years of experience.
1. What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Teepees are built for British weather. They’re waterproof and can be incredibly cosy. We encourage all our couples to have a 'wet weather plan' - for piece of mind if nothing else! That way, if rain is forecast in the run up to your day we can: adjust your set up by closing more of your teepee sides, lay extra matting outside your teepee, add heaters or fire pits and create a snug atmosphere that your guests will actually love. Teepee weddings look beautiful in all weather - it’s part of the charm.

2. Do teepees need to sit on perfectly flat ground?
They don’t need a perfectly flat lawn, but an even surface certainly helps. Teepees are versatile structures that can be set up on most grass surfaces with ease. We visit the site in advance to check the ground, access and to discuss layout and positioning. Ensuring everything looks flawless on the day.

3. How much power does a teepee wedding need?
Teepee weddings usually need power for lighting, catering, music, and the bar. Don’t worry if your location doesn’t have mains electric - we can help source a generator designed specifically for outdoor weddings. We handle all the technical bits so you don’t have to think about plugs, cables etc. Your suppliers can turn up, plug in and get to work making your day totally magical!

4. Can we supply our own drinks in your teepees?
Absolutely, you're by no means obliged to book a bar with us. We do have some incredibly flexible options though - whether it be hiring some equipment and staff to serve your own drinks or a complete bar package - meaning we take care of the entire drink service. Both options mean our team is with you on the day itself to help everything run smoothly.

5. How do your bar packages work?
Wedding bar service is our specialties. We offer cash bars, free bars, prepaid packages or a mix depending on your style and budget. Because teepee weddings feel relaxed and social, the bar becomes a real hub - and we provide everything from stylish rustic bar structures to professional staffing so the drinks keep on flowing seamlessly.

6. Will our guests be warm inside a teepee?
Lets face it, the British weather is pretty unpredictable but teepees can be surprisingly warm, even with the sides raised. We can add heaters, fire pits (in safe layout-approved areas), cosy chill-out areas and evening blankets. Teepees hold heat really well, which makes them perfect year round. It all adds to the atmosphere!

7. How long do teepees take to set up?
Usually one full day, depending on your number of teepees and additional extras. Teepees are handcrafted structures and we want every pole, canvas, light and detail perfect. We can liaise with your venue and suppliers so everyone knows when they can access the space.

8. Are teepee weddings accessible for elderly and disabled guests?
With planning, yes. We can add boarding under your matting inside the teepee, pathways between your teepees and facilities and lighting to make movement safe and easy. We can also discuss seating layouts, furniture options, toilet access and parking options so every guest feels comfortable and included.

9. Do we need licenses for alcohol or music at a teepee wedding?
Unless already covered by your venue, most outdoor teepee weddings require a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) for alcohol service, but where we're supplying your bar, we take care of applying for it so you don’t have to. Noise regulations vary by location - we can guide you on placement of speakers, band setups, and respectful finish times to keep everything hassle-free.

10. How do you stop decor blowing away in a teepee?
Thankfully, unless it's pretty breezy this isn't normally a massive issue. Teepees naturally offer protection thanks to their shape and height - but if you're planning on having raised sides, décor still needs a bit of strategy. Candles are ideal sat inside something so they remain lit for example, hanging items need securing well etc. We can chat through your decor plans and make suggestions based on what you'd like to do. No flyaway centrepieces on our watch!
